To celebrate International Nurses Day, the NIHR Global Surgery Unit is launching a new nurse-led research network. The new collaborative will conduct important research projects, designed and delivered by nurses and allied healthcare professionals.

Nursing and perioperative care research plays a crucial role in advocating for patient safety, quality improvement, and equitable access to surgical services, particularly in underserved communities.
