77th World Health Assembly Side Event

Strengthening health systems across the world through surgery

The NIHR Global Surgery Unit will deliver a Side Event at the 2024 World Health Assembly, “Strengthening Health Systems Across the World Through Surgery”, on Tuesday 28th May. It brings together surgical colleagues from across our global network alongside policy makers, health ministers, academics and government staff to discuss the important role surgery plays in global healthcare systems. The Side Event will focus on two core areas of activity: Surgery as part of whole systems healthcare; and the importance of providing reliable and clean energy.
